I have spent over 2000 hours on making this game in 2020 and I'm still working on it. I use Daz Studios to render the images (takes about 1-2 days for 1 scenario with the new dedicated GPU). I use paint 3D to fix imperfections on the renders, sometimes even pixel by pixel (have done that about 50-100 hours this year). I use RenPy to write the code and text for the game (I'm pretty good at just python and C++ as well, but use them for other projects). I use ShotCut to video edit the animations (starting in version 0.4.0 of the game).
